Our special guest this month is James C. Johnston, Jr.
Whether you're a newcomer or your Franklin roots run deep, please join us this month! James Johnston is going to educate us with a historic view of our community. He has resided in the Oliver Pond House since his birth and he can trace his ancestors going back roughly four centuries. He has a masters degree in History, he taught at the Franklin High School for 34 years and he has held various public office positions in town. In addition, he is a speaker, a professor, an antique appraiser and he's the recipient of numerous awards and commendations. He is also a writer of history books, including two about Franklin, and he recently published his first historical fiction novel, “African Son”. Copies of a few of his books will be available for purchase and will be autographed and inscribed upon request. Come join us for what will surely be a fascinating and educational presentation!
We will be meeting in the upstairs function room at '3' Restaurant.
We'll be providing light refreshments and non-alcoholic beverages. A cash bar will be available.
